According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), just before midnight on May 12, a WCSO deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 98. Reportedly, the vehicle did not immediately stop. However, the driver is said to have stopped on Beach Drive North.

The deputy asked the driver to exit the vehicle. Once he could see inside the car, the deputy said he observed pressed pills in the driver’s seat.

According to the WCSO, a subsequent vehicle search revealed 160 multicolored tablets with different imprints on them, weighing 47.5 grams. The WCSO said the pills tested positive for methamphetamine and cocaine.

Inside the glove compartment, deputies said they located a baggie of cocaine along with a fully loaded Glock 22.

The WCSO said the driver, Kevon Anthony Morris, 35, and the passenger, Arsenio Lovelace, 36, were confirmed as convicted felons.

Morris and Lovelace were both arrested.
