Located adjacent to the former Kmart building, The Prescription Place opened for business in June. An independent, hometown pharmacy, The Prescription Place is owned by local pharmacists Shane Abbott and Cari Cole, who have owned and operated The Prescription Place in DeFuniak Springs since 2006.

Cole said they have looked forward to opening in Niceville for the past several years.
“God kind of made it happen at the right time,” she said. “We feel really blessed.”
More than 30 people were in attendance for the ribbon cutting, including Niceville Mayor Randall Wise. The ribbon was cut by Cole and pharmacist Kristen Hicks Whiddon.
