FLORIDA — An Orlando man has been indicted on charges of defrauding political donors by creating fraudulent fundraising websites that misled contributors during the 2023–2024 presidential primary season, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Jason Pallante, 52, is accused of operating dozens of websites under the guise of supporting various presidential candidates, federal prosecutors said. Pallante allegedly designed the sites to appear affiliated with candidates’ campaigns and directed contributions to the America Great PAC, which he controlled.
The funds, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, were reportedly used for personal enrichment rather than supporting the advertised candidates.
The indictment claims Mr Pallante paid himself more than $162,000 in 2023 and $334,000 in 2024. He is charged with three counts of mail fraud and four counts of wire fraud, each carrying a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
The FBI Washington Field Office investigated the case, and it is being prosecuted by Trial Attorney Jacob R. Steiner of the Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Gold for the District of Columbia.
