On April 6, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) hosted the NASP State Tournament at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville. The FWC sponsors NASP, a school program that aims to teach target archery in an international style in physical education classes for students in grades 4 through 12.

According to the FWC, it is one of the country’s fastest-growing in-school physical education programs.

The top-scoring male and female—receiving $5,000 scholarship checks from the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida and NASP—are Daniel Thompson from Choctawhatchee High School with a score of 286 and Adrienne Rambis from Tampa Bay Home Education Activities Team with a score of 289.
