Okaloosa Arts Alliance School Poster Contest winners announced

The Okaloosa Arts Alliance would also like to thank all of the Okaloosa County School students that participated in the 7th annual OAA Okaloosa County School Poster Contest.  Although we were not able to make everyone a 1st place winner, all 230 entries were on display at the Okaloosa Arts & Culture Fest held in Fort Walton Beach on May 21.

First place winners included Jessica Fortenberry, 7th Grade, Rocky Bayou Christian School (poster pictured).

Participating schools included Rocky Bayou Christian School, Crestview High School, Liza Jackson Preparatory School, Wright Elementary School, Cinco Christian School, Edge Elementary and Youth Village.

Each 1st place prize was a $75 gift card donated by Eglin Federal Credit Union; each 2nd place prize was a $50 gift card donated by the Destin & Mary Esther Target; and and each 3rd place prize was a $25 gift card, donated by the Crestview, Destin & Niceville Wal-marts.

The winners were announced at the Okaloosa Arts & Culture Fest and the winners and honorable mentions are as follows:

Elementary (K5-4)
First Place, Kate Platt, 4th Grade, Liza Jackson Preparatory School

Second Place, Luci Schrand, 2nd Grade, Edge Elementary School

Third Place, Susan Fajardo, 4th Grade, Liza Jackson Preparatory School

Honorable Mention: Clara Farnsworth, 2nd grade, Liza Jackson Preparatory School

Honorable Mention: Natalie Sansom, 3rd grade, Cinco Christian School

Middle (5-7)
