OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced multiple lane closures, traffic shifts, and delays across Okaloosa and Walton counties through the week as construction and maintenance work continues.
OKALOOSA COUNTY
— Brooks Bridge Replacement Project
Drivers will encounter a temporary nighttime traffic shift on U.S. 98 over Brooks Bridge from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. During this operation, westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane and shifted onto the eastbound side between Santa Rosa Boulevard and west of Perry Avenue in Fort Walton Beach. Eastbound traffic will also be reduced to one lane. Law enforcement officers will be on-site directing traffic.
Intermittent lane closures will also occur on U.S. 98 from Ferry Road to Pier Road and on Santa Rosa Boulevard from east of Amberjack Drive to Ross Marler Park from Sunday, April 26, through Thursday, April 30, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. for construction activities.
— State Road 85 Resurfacing from U.S. 98 to Richbourg Avenue
Drivers will encounter alternating lane closures on State Road 85 from Sunday, April 26, through Thursday, April 30, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving operations.
— U.S. 98 Resurfacing from Santa Rosa County Line to west of Josie Road
Shoulder closures are expected Monday, April 27, through Thursday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility relocation and median improvements. Nighttime lane closures will also occur Sunday, April 26, through Thursday, April 30, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
— State Road 293 (Danny Wuerffel Way) Resurfacing
Drivers will encounter intermittent lane closures on U.S. 98 from Paraiso Boulevard to Regions Way and on State Road 293 from U.S. 98 to the Mid-Bay Bridge from Sunday, April 26, through Thursday, April 30, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for milling and paving operations.
WALTON COUNTY
— Western Lake Bridge Replacement Project
Drivers may encounter temporary traffic stoppages on County Road 30A near Western Lake Bridge from Sunday, April 26, through Saturday, May 2, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Stoppages are expected to last less than 15 minutes, with flaggers guiding traffic and pedestrians through the work zone.
