Harper Campbell, a senior at Niceville High School, was selected as the 2026 recipient of the Taylor Haugen Trophy, an award presented annually in memory of former Niceville High School student and athlete, Taylor Reid Haugen.

The Taylor Haugen Trophy recognizes a senior student-athlete who demonstrates excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, community service, and faith. The recipient receives a bronze eagle trophy, a $1,000 scholarship, and a $1,000 donation to the school’s athletic department.

“Harper embodies the values and spirit of this distinguished award,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers.

Campbell is a standout football player for the Niceville Eagles, competing as both a linebacker and safety. He is set to continue his academic and athletic career at Samford University.

“Harper is a person of extremely high character and a natural leader of others,” said Charlie Marello, principal of Niceville High School.

“I’ve been the principal at Niceville High for 10 years, and if I had a personal Hall of Fame of outstanding Eagles during my tenure, Harper Campbell would absolutely be in it.”
