Niceville Christmas Tree Lighting, Niceville FL
Mayor Randall Wise leads the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree at the Niceville Civic Center Complex.

The 2015 lighting of the Niceville Community Christmas tree will take place Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, 5:00 p.m., at Niceville City Hall.

The tree lighting event will feature singers from Lewis School, Ruckel Middle School and Edge Elementary School. Unlike past years, there will not be a formal lighting of the Community Christmas Tree; instead the lights on the tree, and throughout the City Hall complex, will be turned on prior to the start of the event. The entire City Hall complex will be lighted and decorated for Christmas.

There will not be a full blown Christmas Festival this year. However, Santa’s Post Office will be open for children to write letters to Santa, hot chocolate and cookies will be available for sale, and Santa will visit with youngsters in the Children’s Park beginning at 5 p.m.

Niceville City Hall is located at 208 N. Partin Dr.

The schedule of Christmas singers is as follows:

5:15-5:45 Edge Elementary School
5:50-6:25 Ruckel Middle School
6:35-7:05 Plew Elementary School
7:15-7:45 Lewis School
