WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has arrested four suspects and is looking for up to five others believed to have taken part in multiple burglaries that reportedly occurred Sunday in Santa Rosa Beach.

According to the WCSO, deputies responded to burglaries on Peachtree Circle and Shelter Cove Road. Both reportedly involved multiple suspects driving a U-Haul, Kia Forte, and Ford pickup truck.

The suspects are said to have targeted large appliances while allegedly causing minor and—in some cases— major damage to the properties during the process.

According to the WCSO, the four suspects are from the Orlando area. The suspects and charges are as follows:

James Billy Williams, 26, is charged with burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools, resisting without violence, and fleeing and eluding. Mr Williams also has an active felony warrant for failure to appear out of Orange County, the WCSO said.

After interviews and the subsequent investigation, the WCSO said it believes three to five people, including another juvenile, were also involved but were not located.

WCSO crime scene technicians processed both residences, and the U-Haul and Kia were towed to the impound lot for processing. Both vehicles that were impounded were reportedly rented.

The WCSO thanked the Walton and Holmes correctional K-9 teams for their assistance in Mr Williams’ apprehension.
