According to Eglin FCU, the credit union served as a Presenting Sponsor for the event for the fourth consecutive year. The festival was held on May 2 at Landing Park in downtown Fort Walton Beach.

Employee-led fundraising efforts by Eglin FCU teams Anchor Management and Royal Eagles reportedly raised more than $7,000 through dessert auctions and luncheons. The credit union also made a $10,000 corporate donation.

“At Eglin FCU, giving back is a core responsibility, and we are proud to support organizations making a meaningful difference in the communities we call home,” said Neko Stubblefield, senior vice president of Membership Community and Development.

“Supporting Bring Hope Now allows us to champion mental health awareness and suicide prevention, and our employees embody that commitment. From rowing and fundraising to volunteering their time, they continue to show exceptional dedication to this important cause.”

According to Bring Hope Now, the Dragon Boat Race and Festival began in 2023 to raise awareness and funding for suicide prevention efforts focused on youth and military populations.

Funds raised from the 2026 event are expected to support the development of a youth residential mental health care center in Fort Walton Beach for children ages 8 to 17, as well as continued support for 42 school-based C.A.R.E. Crews.

“Events like this demonstrate the power of community coming together to save lives and offer hope. We are deeply grateful to Eglin Federal Credit Union for serving as our Presenting Sponsor for the fourth year — this impact would not be possible without their continued support and partnership.”
