Speckled trout harvest here closes on Feb. 1

FLORIDA – The recreational harvest of spotted seatrout closes February 1, 2023, in the Western Panhandle Management Region.

The western region includes all of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay counties and a portion of Gulf County, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said. The closed portion of Gulf County is defined as west of 85 degrees 13.76 minutes west longitude but not including Indian Pass or Indian Lagoon.

Spotted seatrout harvest will reopen in the Western Panhandle Management Region on March 1, 2023.
