The ground has been broken on State Road 85 North in Niceville for a TownPlace Suites hotel, while just a short distance away, a new Holiday Inn Express & Suites is nearing completion and now is accepting reservations for stays beginning October 10, 2019.

According to the Townplace Suites website, the hotel will feature 79 rooms and four floors. It was initially projected to open in 2019, but the opening has been pushed back to 2020.
There is a Townplace Suites by Marriott in Fort Walton Beach near the foot of the Shalimar Bridge, across from Eglin Federal Credit Union.
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is located at 410 West John Sims Parkway. Construction began about one year ago. The Niceville Holiday Inn Express & Suites has four floors and will feature 93 rooms, according to its website. It is projected to open in October and is accepting reservation for stays beginning Oct. 10.

There is a Holiday Inn Express at 106 Bayshore Drive in Niceville. According to its website, it has 87 rooms and two floors. It is undergoing a full renovation to the entire property includes guest rooms, public areas, and the pool area. It is meant to be done by the end of August.
