2024 Bloody Mary Festival raises $37,600 for Habitat for Humanity

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — The 2024 Bloody Mary Festival at The Market Shops raised $37,600 for Habitat for Humanity of Walton County during a sold-out event on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The 9th annual festival featured over 800 attendees sampling creative Bloody Mary recipes from 14 restaurants and bars, each using Distillery 98’s Half Shell Vodka.

Guests also enjoyed live music, college football on a jumbo screen, shopping, food vendors, and specialty drinks, including craft brews, spiked seltzers, and champagne.

The People’s Choice Award winners for the best Bloody Mary were Down Island Gulf Seafood Restaurant (1st), The Red Bar and Louis Louis (2nd), and Jackacuda’s Seafood and Sushi (3rd).

Judges selected The Red Bar and Louis Louis for the Judge’s Choice Award, with Jackacuda’s receiving recognition for the “Best Accoutrement.”

“The Market Shops is honored to host this event, which supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide homes for working families,” said Bob Duncan, managing partner of The Market Shops.

Since its inception, the festival has raised over $241,000 for local charities, with Habitat for Humanity – Walton County serving as the beneficiary for the past seven years. The funds will help the organization build homes for families in the Walton County community.

“We are proud to be the benefactor of such an amazing event,” said Teresa Jones, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Walton County.

“The proceeds will directly support our mission to provide housing for hardworking local families.”
