The City of Valparaiso will host an day of family fun on July 4, 2014, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., at Lincoln Park in Valparaiso.
Beginning at 11 a.m., youngsters can enjoy a waterslide, bounce house and miniature train rides.
From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., more than a dozen old-fashioned games and events (with cash prizes!) will be held for children ages 5 to 12 years. Games include a watermelon seed spitting contest, sack races and watermelon rolling
A DJ will play music from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
