On September 20, 2022, Jacob J. Ramirez was sentenced by Circuit Judge Kelvin C. Wells to two consecutive life sentences followed by a consecutive 15 years in Florida’s Department of Corrections. Additionally, the Court designated the defendant as a Sexual Predator, the Office of the State Attorney said.

According to the Office of the State Attorney, on June 14, 2022, a jury found Ramirez guilty of two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years of age and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim 12 years or older.

Ramirez was convicted following a joint effort from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the State Attorney. Wells presided over the trial.

Assistant State Attorney Josh Mitchell prosecuted the case on behalf of Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida.
