Walton County Traffic Advisory includes lane closures

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Walton County as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.

 U.S. 90 Routine Utility Maintenance at 23rd Street in DeFuniak Springs
The eastbound travel lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25. Eastbound traffic will be shifted to the westbound travel lane, one direction in each lane, as crews perform utility maintenance.

State Road (S.R.) 20 Bridge Rehabilitation over Black Creek
There will be no lane restrictions until after the designated spring break period, Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 27.

U.S. 98 Widening from Emerald Bay Drive to Tang-O-Mar Drive
The scheduled work to place traffic in a new configuration on U.S. 98, east and westbound between Emerald Bay Drive and Tang-O-Mar Drive was postponed due to weather and will not be rescheduled until after the designated spring break period, Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 27.  There will be no construction-related impacts to traffic during this time.

All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
