WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — A Valparaiso man is accused of pointing a gun at partygoers in Walton County, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office has announced.

Over the weekend, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said it was called to a home on Margaret Boulevard in DeFuniak Springs after a 9-1-1 call about a man pointing a gun at partygoers.

The caller reportedly told the dispatcher that the suspect, Corbin Minter, 21, got into an argument with other people at the party when he retrieved a handgun from his truck and started to point it at people.

Deputies arrived and said they located Minter nearby with a 9 mm handgun in his waistband.

The WCSO said the investigation revealed the suspect got his truck stuck when he was trying to leave the party and started slinging mud on other vehicles. Several people were trying to stop him from driving drunk, the WCSO said.

When a woman went into Minter’s truck to get the keys, he reportedly became angry and retrieved a handgun from the center console and loaded it, the WCSO said.

According to the WCSO, after getting the gun from his truck. Minter pointed it at several people.

No one was injured, and Minter was arrested without issue.

He is charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. He received a $5,000 bond and was released Sunday.
