VALPARAISO, Fla. — Two weeklong youth summer camps focused on firearm safety and marksmanship will be held this July at Emerald Coast Indoor Shooting & Sport, the facility has announced.
Open to participants ages 12 and older, the camps are said to offer hands-on instruction in a safe, controlled environment under the guidance of NRA-certified instructors.
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting camp is scheduled for July 14–18, with sessions held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day. The NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting camp will follow July 21–25, during the same morning hours.
Each camp costs $159 and includes all necessary equipment, including firearms, ammunition, eye and ear protection, and course materials. Students who complete the program will receive an NRA certificate.
Organizers say the goal is to build confidence, responsibility, and proper firearm handling skills through expert instruction and structured training.
The camps will be held at Emerald Coast Indoor Shooting & Sport, located at 685 Valparaiso Parkway. The facility is said to feature pistol and rifle lanes with electronic target systems and is staffed by certified Range Safety Officers.
