Shrek the Musical Jr Niceville

The Northwest Florida State College Summer Musical Theatre Workshop presents the mini-musical Shrek, the Musical, Jr. in the Sprint Theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in three performances on Wednesday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. and on Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The performance is $5 each admission (adult or youth). Tickets are available in advance from the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Box Office. Seating is limited as the Sprint Theater is the smaller of the center’s 2 theater spaces and advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Box Office hours are Monday to Friday 10 am to 4 pm either in-person or by phone (850) 729-6000 or purchase online at www.MattieKellyArtsCenter.org. Any remaining tickets will be available at-the-door, space permitting, one hour before show on all performance dates on a first-come basis for the same price as advance tickets. The summer mini-musical normally sells out and advance purchase is strongly recommended.

The summer term Musical Theatre Workshop program at NWF State College annually produces a mini summer musical as the culmination of an intensive workshop for students in 8th grade through college age. The popular workshop provides training by college faculty in acting, voice, makeup, dance and staging. Now in its 19th year, the program allows youth the opportunity to train and perform at the state-of-the-art facilities of the college’s fine & performing arts complex.

The Summer Musical Theatre Workshop is taught by Allison Everitt, NWFSC voice professor; Uli Dunbar, NWFSC dance professor, as well as Christa Whittaker, drama instructor at Fort Walton Beach High School and adjunct NWFSC professor.
