The sold-out fundraiser was held January 24, 2026, at Old Florida Fish House in Seagrove Beach, where organizers said 140 tickets were sold for the cocktail-style event.

According to the Northwest Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation, the event was inspired by Dorothy’s ruby slippers and the message that there is no place like home. Guests reportedly incorporated red-themed attire while enjoying cuisine, signature cocktails, a silent auction, and music by DJ V-Train.

Organizers said the fundraiser showed significant growth compared to the inaugural event. Attendance reportedly increased by more than 40%, and funds raised grew by more than 60%, reflecting increased community support for the foundation’s mission.

One of the event’s featured activities was the Red Shoe Contest, which recognized participants in the categories of Most Creative, Most Glamorous, and Sportiest.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and enthusiasm of our community,” said Ginger Davis, President of the Northwest Florida Guardian ad Litem Foundation.

“The Red Shoe Party is more than a fundraiser—it’s a reminder to the children we serve that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by people who believe every child deserves safety, stability, and a place to call home. The growth of this event reflects how deeply our mission resonates, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this night possible.”

The foundation said 18 sponsors supported the event, including special recognition for the Ruby Sponsor, The Edwards Family, for leadership and support.

Proceeds from the event directly support the foundation’s advocacy for abused, abandoned, and neglected children involved in the court system. The organization said funding helps provide educational support, resources, and life-enriching opportunities.
