MARY ESTHER, Fla. – A man reportedly attempted to rob the Eglin Federal Credit Union branch in Mary Esther on Monday, and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information to help them identify the suspect, the agency has announced.
According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), it is investigating an attempted bank robbery that took place around 3:15 p.m. Monday at Eglin Federal Credit Union located at 321 E. Hollywood Boulevard in Mary Esther.
The white male pictured below reportedly came into the bank and gave a note to a teller demanding money. Investigators say no weapon was displayed during the robbery.

The suspect was unsuccessful in getting any money and left on foot towards the back of the bank, the OCSO said.
The suspect is described as being approximately 45-55 years old, scruffy or unshaven, wearing a gray or blue denim ball cap, long sleeve khaki shirt with no collar, and three buttons down the front, baggy khaki pants, and what appeared to be brown open-toe shoes or flip-flops.
