NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health reports Sunday morning the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County is 4,953, 69 since Friday morning. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Niceville and Valparaiso is 674.
The total number of COVID-19 -related deaths in Okaloosa County is 109, no change.
Statewide, 4,677 new cases were reported since Friday for a cumulative total of 700,564.
The number of cumulative hospitalizations related to coronavirus in Okaloosa is 296, one more since Friday. On Friday, there were 20 COVID-19 patients in Okaloosa County hospitals; four in ICU beds.
According to the state DOH, yesterday there were 322 tests returned in Okaloosa with 35 positives. The daily positivity rate was 10.87 percent. On Saturday, our daily positivity rate was 9.09 percent.
Okaloosa’s weekly positivity rate was 8.0 percent for the week ending Saturday, Sept. 26. It was 6.15 percent for the week ending Sept. 19, 8.3 percent for the week ending Sept. 12, and 7.33 for the week ending Sept. 5.
