NICEVILLE, Fla. — FC Dallas Emerald Coast has announced the hiring of Tim Seketa as director of coaching and player development.
“I am grateful and eager to have an individual with Tim’s professional experience and dedication leading our coaching staff and players,” said Louis Richard, executive director, FC Dallas Emerald Coast.
“He has a wealth of knowledge and ideas and I look forward to his implementation of these concepts into all areas of the FC Dallas Emerald Coast organization.”
Seketa has been with the club since 2013 and has contributed greatly to the success of the club during his time on staff, according to an announcement from FC Dallas Emerald Coast.
“I am very excited to take on the role of Director of Coaching,” said Seketa.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be in a position to shape the soccer experience for so many young players in our area. I think it means that little bit more when you get the opportunity to take the reins of your childhood club.”
Prior to working with FC Dallas Emerald Coast, Seketa was a member of the MLS’s Real Salt Lake Academy staff in 2012 and 2013 and worked under Martin Vasquez who was a US Men’s National Team Assistant Coach at the time.
Seketa began his soccer career playing in Niceville with PAL in 1992. He graduated from Niceville High School in 2003 and went on to play NCAA Division 1 soccer at Jacksonville University.
He currently holds a United States Soccer Federation National “C” License and United Soccer Coaches Level III Goalkeeping Diploma.
FC Dallas Emerald Coast is a primary provider of soccer opportunities for youth athletes across the Emerald Coast region since 2007. It supports over 600 kids aged 4-18 with its recreational, academy, and competitive programs.
