DESTIN, Fla. – Two Destin residents were taken into custody following the execution of a search warrant this morning by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Drug Task Force at an apartment on Indian Trail, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).

Investigators say the residence was not only the site of a fatal drug overdose in January, but the subject of numerous complaints from concerned citizens who reported heavy pedestrian, vehicular, and bicycle traffic day and night.

Karen Hyler, 57, is charged with trafficking in fentanyl, keeping a public nuisance (drug activity), possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the OCSO.

Stacy Crowley, 58, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia, according to the OCSO report.
