NICEVILLE, Fla. — Forest Road will close for four days next week to allow installation of infrastructure tied to a reclaimed water project, the City of Niceville announced.
The closure is scheduled between State Road 293 (Spence Parkway) and College Boulevard East from February 9 through February 12. According to Okaloosa County Water & Sewer, the shutdown is needed to complete a road crossing and connect a 30-inch reclaimed water main near Deer Moss Creek.
Message boards and roadway signage will be placed in advance to alert drivers. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate travel routes during the closure period, according to the City of Niceville.

Reclaimed water systems reuse treated wastewater for irrigation and other non-drinking-water uses and are commonly used to support long-term infrastructure improvements.
Drivers traveling near the work zone should expect delays and use caution while crews complete the project.
