“We look forward to this event every year,” said Restaurant Paradis owner Monica Cosenzi.

“It brings us so much joy to bring the community together for great food and wine while bringing awareness and profits to an amazing local charity.”

Guests gathered at the Rosemary Beach fine-dining restaurant for an intimate private dinner that was Gatsby-inspired. Upon entry, ticket holders made their way into the bar area to enjoy specialty cocktails made with Black Sheep Tequila and served in a commemorative glass courtesy of Buddy’s Seafood.

After that, guests entered the main dining room and took their seats for a special five-course meal that award-winning chef Mark Eichin had prepared.

Each course was expertly paired with wines by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits and sponsored by local businesses and individuals, including Ali and Rob Weil, Seed Cleaning and Services, Swiftly Catered, and Tracery Interiors. Throughout the night, attendees were surrounded by live music from Christy Larsen, courtesy of Chiringo, and florals by Beachside Blooms, sponsored by 30A Cottages. Boo Media and Isacks Imagery were also there to capture the evening.

The proceeds raised from the annual Prohibition event go directly to a new local charity, Neurodiversity Resource of the Panhandle. The organization is a community-based, family-focused platform that provides programs and services based on the growing needs of families living with neurodiversity.

They serve Apalachicola, Destin, DeFuniak Springs, Fort Walton Beach, Gulf Breeze, Lynn Haven, Mexico Beach, Navarre, Niceville, Santa Rosa Beach, Panama City, Pensacola, and Port St. Joe.

“We are so incredibly grateful to Restaurant Paradis and all who attended the 8th Annual Prohibition Dinner,” said Beth Roberts, Neurodiversity Resource of the Panhandle founder and executive director.

“Thanks to everyone who joined us that evening; the funds raised will directly help the families ready to receive our financial support through our aid program. Living with Neurodiversity can be a lifelong journey of support and therapy, and this portion of our mission will allow us to help those in our community with the relief of the financial burden.”
