DESTIN, Fla. — An Okaloosa County man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of making a false statement to a federally licensed firearms dealer, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
According to federal prosecutors, Bryan Klein, 56, of Destin, appeared in federal court for his arraignment before United States Magistrate Judge Michael J. Frank in Pensacola.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Mr Klein is charged with making a false statement to a federally licensed firearms dealer. Additional details about the alleged false statement were not included in the release.
Federal prosecutors said Klein faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, jury trial is scheduled for June 22, 2026, before United States District Judge M. Casey Rodgers in Pensacola.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives investigated the case, according to federal prosecutors.
