OKALOOSA AND WALTON COUNTIES, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced overnight and daytime traffic impacts along U.S. 98 in Okaloosa and Walton counties as crews continue resurfacing, sidewalk, and bridge maintenance work.

Drivers will encounter intermittent lane closures on U.S. 98 from Paraiso Boulevard to Regions Way, and on State Road 293 (Danny Wuerffel Way) from U.S. 98 to the Mid-Bay Bridge from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, through Thursday, Feb. 26, for sidewalk repairs.
— U.S. 98 Resurfacing from Santa Rosa County Line to west of Josie Road
Shoulder closures are expected from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, through Friday, Feb. 27, for utility relocation and median improvements.
Lane and shoulder closures are also planned from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, through Thursday, Feb. 26, for median improvements.

Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, through Friday, March 6, for routine bridge maintenance.
All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. FDOT urges drivers to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through work zones, and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
