Night fly operations planned by Eglin fighter squadron

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Residents in the area may notice increased aircraft noise through July 31 as the 60th Fighter Squadron conducts night fly operations, Eglin Air Force Base announced.

Base officials said fighter aircraft will fly training missions between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. each evening during the operations.

Night flying is required to maintain training readiness, according to Eglin Air Force Base.
