NICEVILLE, Fla. — The City of Niceville announced it will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new dock and pier at Old Town Landing on February 13 at 1 p.m.
The ceremony will take place at Niceville Landing, 100 Bayshore Drive, and will commemorate the start of construction on the waterfront improvement project, according to the City of Niceville. The public is invited to attend.
The City of Niceville said the dock and pier project represents a major milestone in the long-term revitalization of the Niceville Landing area. The project is funded through the Niceville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Okaloosa County Tourist Development Funds.

City officials said the new dock and pier are part of the CRA’s comprehensive Niceville Landing Rehabilitation Project. The broader redevelopment plan includes additional community-focused features.
According to the City of Niceville, the completed redevelopment will include a new dock and pier, a splash pad, commercial upland development, and other public amenities designed to enhance the existing landing area.
The City of Niceville encourages residents and visitors to attend the ceremony and learn more about the project and future improvements planned for the waterfront.
