NICEVILLE, Fla. — Niceville High School swimmers have been recognized for multiple state championship victories, the Okaloosa County School District announced following a recent school board meeting.
The recognition took place during the March 9 meeting, where several student-athletes from Niceville High School were honored for their achievements in Florida High School Athletic Association competition.
The Okaloosa County School District said the accomplishments reflect the dedication, discipline, and long hours of preparation required to reach the state championship level.
Among those recognized was Elisabeth Breck, who won the 2025 FHSAA Class 3A Girls Swimming 100-meter Backstroke State Championship.
Elisabeth is described as the most accomplished female swimmer in school history, holding numerous county and school records. She has been a state qualifier for four years and has earned 15 state medals.
She is also Niceville’s first female swimmer to win an individual state event and carries a 4.6 grade point average. She plans to swim at the University of Buffalo.
Nicholas Venture was also recognized for winning the FHSAA Class 3A Boys Swimming 50-yard freestyle state championship.
Nicholas holds a 4.59 grade point average and plans to attend Florida State University, where he intends to major in theater and minor in music.
The Niceville High School boys 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay team also captured state championships.
The relay team includes Nicholas Venture, Tripp Gallemore, William Pugh, and Logan Michel.
Tripp holds a 3.3 grade point average and is headed to Florida Southern University on a swimming scholarship.
William, a junior, has a 4.3 grade point average, while Logan, a senior, has a 4.62 grade point average.
The district said the athletes’ success represents years of effort, including offseason conditioning, summer training, and early morning practices, as well as the perseverance required to compete at the highest level.
