NICEVILLE, Fla. — Boy Scout Troop 553 is bringing extra holiday cheer to Niceville this year with the addition of a Christmas Village to its annual tree sale, held on the front lawn of the Niceville Police Department, organizers have announced.
The 2025 Scout Christmas Village and Tree Sale will run from Friday, December 5, through Sunday, December 7, or until all trees are sold, according to Troop 553 parent coordinator Jen Orwig. Hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., if supplies last.
Ms Orwig said last year’s trees sold out by Saturday, and early shoppers are encouraged to arrive soon after opening.
This year’s event will feature more than fresh-cut Fraser Fir trees. The new Scout Christmas Village will include cookie decorating, face painting, games, visits from Santa, and photo opportunities for families. The Scouts and volunteers have worked to create a festive, family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of the season while supporting local youth programs.
Troop 553’s trees are freshly cut and shipped from North Carolina, known for producing premium Fraser Firs with long-lasting color and fragrance. Scouts will assist customers with tree selection, trimming, and loading to make the experience easy and enjoyable.
Proceeds from the sale benefit local Scout activities, including Eagle projects, camping trips, and high-adventure experiences that help develop leadership, service, and outdoor skills.
The event will take place at the Niceville Police Department, located in the Municipal Complex at 212 Partin Drive North.
