NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Niceville Police Department will join with other local public safety agencies to host a Cocoa with a First Responder and dog adoption event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at the Niceville Police Department.
According to the Niceville Police Department, the event is being held in partnership with the City of Niceville and the Niceville Fire Department, offering residents a chance to enjoy cocoa, meet local first responders, and spend time with adoptable dogs in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
Three dogs will be available for adoption during the event.
One is Sister, a spayed mixed-breed dog described as affectionate, friendly, and very social. Estimated to be between three and five years old, she enjoys being around people and is closely bonded with her brother, with whom she does best.
Her brother, an intact mixed-breed male estimated to be about one year old, is described as calm, loyal, and gentle. Organizers say he enjoys leisurely walks and quiet companionship and would do best in a home without other dogs, ideally alongside his sister.

Also available is a mostly white, intact mixed-breed male estimated to be around one year old. He is described as friendly, easygoing, and great with other dogs, making him a strong fit for a home with existing pets.
There is no adoption fee for any of the dogs. According to the City of Niceville, the city will assist adopters with up to $250 toward neutering and rabies vaccination.
