NICEVILLE, Fla. — A free community back-to-school party is scheduled for next month, providing families with an opportunity to meet first responders and enjoy summer fun before the school year begins.
The event, hosted by the City of Niceville and its police officers and firefighters, will take place on Thursday, August 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Niceville Municipal Complex.
Organizers said the gathering will include a water gun fight with first responders, bounce houses for children, and food trucks offering items for purchase.
Raffle giveaways are also planned, with back-to-school gear and prizes available for attendees.
“This is a chance for families to make memories and for kids to connect with the people who keep our community safe,” organizers said in the announcement.
Guests are encouraged to bring water shoes, sunscreen, and towels for the water activities.
