Niceville pastor volunteers at Children in Crisis

NicevilleMarch 28, 2014Updated:April 11, 20142 Mins Read

Lewis Wilder, the Connections Pastor with Niceville United Methodist Church, normally helps new residents in the area get connected with church and stay connected.  However, every Friday Lew rolls up his sleeves and volunteers at Children in Crisis.  For the past several years, Lew has been the volunteer Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator.  Lew coordinates all the scheduled preventive maintenance and many of the un-expected jobs too.

Lew got involved with CIC through his church when they volunteered at the CIC Neighborhood.  Members of the Niceville United Methodist Church support CIC by volunteering with children’s events and activities and also on some of the Saturday Neighborhood workdays.

Ken Hair, President/CEO of Children in Crisis, Inc. commented, “Lew really makes a difference for CIC and the kids.  We can’t thank him enough for the donation of time and hard work.  His dedicated service saves us thousands every year!”

Children in Crisis, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charity of caring people from the community.  For more information or to make a donation, call 850-864-4242 or visit www.childrenincrisisfl.org.
