Niceville, Okaloosa COVID-19 update for April 1

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County Wednesday morning totals 39, one more than Tuesday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remained at 10 over the past 24 hours. In Okaloosa County, the number of deaths remains at one and the number of hospitalizations remains at six.

NICEVILLE, Fla – The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County Wednesday morning totals 39, one more than Tuesday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remained at 10 over the past 24 hours.

In Okaloosa County, the number of deaths remains at one and the number of hospitalizations remains at six.

Across the state, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases is now 6,955, up 617 from Tuesday morning, with 890 hospitalized, up from 772, and the number of deaths in Florida increased by 10 in the last 24 hours; the total number now is 87 dead.

Here’s the latest breakdown by city in Okaloosa (note that the city is not always reported as part of the initial notification and may be missing while the case is being investigated):

  • Destin, 15, one new case since Tuesday morning
  • Niceville, 10, no new cases since Sunday morning
  • Fort Walton Beach, 5, no new cases since Tuesday morning
  • Crestview, 4, no new cases since Tuesday morning
  • Shalimar, 1, no new cases since Sunday morning
  • Mary Esther, 1, no new cases since Sunday morning
