Niceville Library Activities Calendar

The Niceville Public Library features a variety of activities for all ages. Here is the activities calendar for January 2016:

Jan 6
Scrabble Anyone? – The Niceville Public Library will be set up with Scrabble boards for the adult community to play and enjoy on Wednesday and January 20 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Please keep in mind that you don’t have to be an expert to participate and all skill levels are welcome. So bring your friends or come on your own and join in the fun!

Teen Space – Program Ideas? Stop by The Teen Office or e-mail Ms. Karen at [email protected]
• January 6 – Celebrate December & January Birthdays
• January 7 – Teen Council Meeting at 2:30 pm
• January 13 – Board Game Day at 2:30 pm
• January 22 – Super Mario Cart Gaming at 2:30 pm
• January 28 – Teen Clothing Swap Day at 2:30 pm

Jan 9
Book Club Girls’ Edition – This program will be on Saturday at 10 a.m – noon. For girls ages 9-12 years. To insure we have ample supplies for everyone, please register in YS or call to reserve your seat 279-4863 x1514. Registration is required.

Teen Space – Program Ideas? Stop by The Teen Office or e-mail Ms. Karen at [email protected]. Featuring Board Game Day at 2:30 p.m.

Jan 15
Legos @ the Library – Friday from 4 – 5 pm for ages 7 – 12 in our Youth Services program room. This month our theme will be Star Wars. Space is limited so registration is required. Please sign up in Youth Services or call 279-4863 x1514.

Jan 16
Family Movie – The Library Youth Services will be hosting a movie for ages 6+ in the YS program room on Saturday, January 16 at 10:30 a.m.

Jan 19
Reading Education Assistance Dogs – Reading is a wonderful opportunity for a child to build his or her imagination and begin to build skills for his or her future. Libraries are a wonderful resource, and Therapy Dogs can be a great way to help children discover how much fun their local library can be. Over time your child’s reading ability and confidence can improve, which will make them enjoy reading even more. Registration is required. Please sign up in YS program room. Reading will be on Tuesday at 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Color Yourself Calm! – We invite you to join us on Tuesday at 6:30-7:30 pm in the Niceville Public Library. Supplies will be provided as well as light refreshments and relaxing music. Join us for this free program for adults ages 18+. Space is limited so please call to reserve a seat at 850-279-4863 x 1504 or email Lora at [email protected]. See flyer for more details.
