History Sandwiched in Heritage Museum

Popular historian Hank Klein presents “History Mystery of Northwest Florida” during History Sandwiched-In, a free lunchtime lecture, Friday, January 8, 2016, 12 p.m., at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida.

Klein will talk about West & East Florida, how they were once two British colonies, explain that West Florida once went all the way to the Mississippi River, and who Moreno Point (Destin) was named after.  Find out why Destin, FL has been in a total of FIVE different counties and why Okaloosa County was formed.

Bring a sandwich and take your lunch break at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida for History Sandwiched-In, an informal lunchtime education program.  This lecture is free and open to the public.  SPACE IS LIMITED.  Please call to reserve a seat. (850) 678-2615.

The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida is located at 115 Westview Ave. in old downtown Valparaiso.
