Niceville High School ranked among top 50 in Florida

NICEVILLE, Fla. — Niceville High School is among the top 50 “best” high schools in the state according to rankings released this week by U.S. News & World Report.

Niceville High School is ranked at No. 49 in Florida, the highest-ranking earned by a local high school in the 2021 U.S. News Best High Schools report. Niceville High is ranked No. 886 in the country.

Here are the Okaloosa County high school 2021 state rankings by U.S. News & World Report :

  • Collegiate High School, 91
  • Fort Walton Beach High School, 145
  • Choctawhatchee Senior High School, 174
  • Crestview High School, 190
  • Laurel Hill School, 225

The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on nearly 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.

In Florida, 602 schools made the list for 2021.

The School for Advanced Studies in Miami ranked No. 1 in Florida. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia ranked No. 1 in the country.
