NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health on Wednesday reported 28 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County. There is one new case in Niceville and Valparaiso.
The FDOH reports 933 vaccinations were administered in Okaloosa County the previous day. The cumulative number of people vaccinated in Okaloosa is 59,235. The number of people who have completed the vaccination series in Okaloosa is 42,923, according to FDOH data.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa is 20,355.
The FDOH reports the total number of people killed by COVID-19 in Okaloosa is 361, no change since the previous report.
Statewide, 5,178 new cases were reported by the FDOH. The current cumulative total is 2,222,546. The total number of Florida residents who have died from COVID-19 in the state is 35,030.
The cumulative number of hospitalizations in Okaloosa is 732, two more the previous day. Currently, there are 15 COVID-19 patients in Okaloosa County hospitals.
