NICEVILLE, Fla. — Christmas celebrations across Niceville, Bluewater Bay, and Valparaiso are underway, bringing festive light shows, parades, family activities, and community traditions throughout December.

Geek Lights on the Corner
Dec. 1–Jan. 6
The long-running Geek Lights on the Corner is lighting up Bluewater Bay nightly through January 6 at the corner of Bluewater Boulevard and Antiqua Way. The free, synchronized light and music show runs every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and holiday eves.
This year’s sponsored charity is the Junior League of the Emerald Coast’s Child Clothing Project.

Troon Goon Christmas Lightshow
Dec. 6–Jan. 6
The Troon Goon Christmas Lightshow returns to 1074 Troon Drive East with synchronized 30-minute shows beginning every half-hour from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Visitors can tune to 101.3 FM from their vehicles to hear the music.

Niceville Christmas Parade
Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
The 2025 Niceville Christmas Parade steps off Saturday, December 6, at 10 a.m. with the theme “Unite for the Holidays.” The route begins at Palm Boulevard and John Sims Parkway, continues west, and turns north on Partin Drive before ending at Ruckel Middle School.
The parade is hosted by the Niceville-Valparaiso Rotary Club, which also encourages spectators to bring new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots.

Scout Christmas Village & Tree Sale
Dec. 5–7
Boy Scout Troop 553 will hold its annual tree sale and Christmas Village December 5–7 on the front lawn of the Niceville Police Department, 212 Partin Drive North. The event features fresh Fraser Firs, cookie decorating, face painting, and family activities.
Hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., if supplies last.

A Very Niceville Christmas
Dec. 12–13
The City of Niceville will host A Very Niceville Christmas on December 12–13 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Municipal Complex. Visitors can enjoy hayrides, pony rides, food trucks, story time, and holiday activities. A holiday movie will screen on Friday, and Santa in the Park will take place on Saturday.

Yule of Yesteryear
Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Valparaiso’s Yule of Yesteryear will take place on December 13 at Perrine Park. The event features reenactors, craft vendors, baked goods, children’s activities, demonstrations, and holiday displays hosted by the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida.

Bluewater Bay Marina Christmas Boat Parade
Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
The Bluewater Bay Marina Christmas Boat Parade will light up Rocky Bayou on December 20, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Boats will follow a loop from the marina through Nelson’s Cove and back along the bayou for shoreline viewing. Additional festivities are planned at LJ Schooners.

Wreaths Across America
Dec. 16 at 11 a.m.
A joint Wreaths Across America ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on December 16 at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery. Afterward, volunteers may help lay wreaths at Heritage Gardens and Sunset Cemetery.
