Brian Little, a resident of Bluewater Bay, landed a large black drum Dec. 28 while fishing on the Valparaiso T-pier.

Little, a research chemist working at Eglin Air Force Base, was fishing with his father, Felton Little, of Sale City, Ga., who was visiting over the holiday period.

Little reported he caught the fish using live shrimp. The fish was safely released back into Boggy Bayou after photos were taken.

The Valparaiso T-pier is located on North Bayshore Drive. It features two cleaning stations, running water and 24-hour restrooms.
