A new veterinary hospital is now under construction in the Niceville area and is expected to open for business in the spring.
Midbay Veterinary Hospital will be located in the Pineapple Plaza, next to North Bay Hardware, at 4650 East Highway 20 in Seminole.
The new pet hospital is owned by Dr. Maya Chapman, who has lived in Niceville since 2005. Dr. Chapman was born in Texas and grew up in Hunstville, Ala.
Dr. Chapman has been practicing in Crestview since graduating from Veterinary College at Auburn University. She left the Crestview clinic this past summer in order to open the local hospital.
A grand opening celebration will likely take place toward the end of April 2015. Once open, the hospital’s hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., M-F.
