NICEVILLE, Fla. — Several members of the Mid-Bay Bridge Rotary Club were recognized for their outstanding commitment to service and charitable giving during a visit from Rotary District 6940 Governor Andre Boyd.
District Governor Boyd, joined by District Rotary Foundation Chair Jan Pooley of Fort Walton Beach, presented multiple Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) Award pins to club members who reached new milestones in Foundation giving.
The recognitions included Mid-Bay Bridge Rotarian and Past District 6940 Governor Dave Rauch and his Rotary partner, Gretchen, named Major Donor Plus 3; Ron Moore and Art Rosenbaum, PHF Plus 8; Steve Rhodes, PHF Plus 4; and John Suerken, PHF Plus 3.
Mr Suerken also led the Mid-Bay Kazoo Orchestra in a spirited rendition of “On the Road Again,” dedicated to the many miles Mr Boyd will travel during his year as district governor.
Governor Boyd commended members for their dedication, noting that Rotary’s mission is to make a difference through service, compassion, and community connection. He emphasized his passion for feeding the hungry and promoting literacy, while encouraging Rotarians to “take care of each other” as part of the Rotary family.
Club leaders described the visit as one of the most meaningful gatherings of the year, reaffirming the values of fellowship and generosity. They noted that donations made by members to the Rotary Foundation ultimately return to benefit local projects supported by the Mid-Bay Bridge Rotary Club.
The Mid-Bay Bridge Rotary Club meets Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. at American House, 5th floor, 4595 E Hwy 20, Niceville, FL.
