WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — A DeFuniak Springs man was arrested late Sunday after deputies reportedly discovered illegal drugs and paraphernalia during a traffic stop, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said a deputy conducted a traffic stop just before midnight on a black Nissan sedan along U.S. Highway 90 near U.S. Highway 331 North.
The driver, Daniel Trevino, 34, was reportedly found in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, digital scales, plastic baggies, and needles, the WCSO said.
Investigators said Mr Trevino has eight prior felony convictions. He was arrested and charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license, third violation.
Trevino was transported to the Walton County Jail and booked on a $50,000 bond.
As with all criminal cases, Mr Trevino is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
