Lorenzo Heatrice was found guilty by a federal jury of conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and two separate counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, including one involving five grams and another involving 50 grams.

Mr Heatrice is said to have conspired with other known drug traffickers in the area between June 2023 and April 2024, distributing large quantities of methamphetamine into the community. Prosecutors said he sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant on two separate occasions in September 2023.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
