The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said it has charged Brian Quinones, 27, address unknown, with two counts of attempted second-degree homicide, two counts of firing a deadly missile into a vehicle, and possession of marijuana.

The incident occurred on Annison Court on Thursday, according to the OCSO. One shot reportedly struck the passenger side window frame of the van, while the second bullet is said to have penetrated the driver’s side windshield, missing the driver by a small margin as he ducked at the last moment.

Authorities said two individuals were inside the FedEx van at the time of the shooting. The occupants told deputies they were making a delivery when a man with dreadlocks, driving a white truck with Aqua Pool logos, blocked their path, fired the shots, and then sped away.

Deputies reportedly located the truck soon after and conducted a felony traffic stop with Mr Quinones behind the wheel.

Deputies said they discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in a bag, along with another loaded magazine and Quinones’ personal items inside the vehicle. Marijuana was reportedly found between the seats.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, the OCSO said.
