NICEVILLE, Fla. — A day of live magic performances and a dinner fundraiser is set for May 16 at the Niceville Community Center, said Scouting America, Gulf Coast Council.
The event, titled “Magic for a Mission,” will feature two performances by professional magician Jeff Sobel, along with a dinner experience and social hour, all supporting local scouting programs.
Scouting America, Gulf Coast Council said proceeds from the event will help fund programs that provide leadership development, outdoor adventure opportunities, and character-building experiences for youth in the community.
The afternoon show, “An Adventure in Magic,” begins at 2:30 p.m., with doors opening at 2 p.m. Organizers said the family-friendly performance will include interactive magic, comedy, surprises, and take-home magic lessons.
Tickets for the afternoon show are $30 for children and $10 for adults. An advance promotion allows the purchase of a child’s ticket to include one free adult ticket.

The evening portion of the event includes a plated dinner at 6 p.m., followed by a full stage performance beginning at 7:17 p.m.
According to organizers, the evening experience will also feature a social hour with strolling magic before the main show.
Dinner selections include either pork loin with mashed potatoes, onion gravy, and roasted vegetables, or chicken marsala with angel hair pasta and roasted vegetables. Each meal includes two wine tickets.
Tickets for the evening event are $97, with VIP tickets priced at $127. VIP admission includes front-row seating and a giveaway prize ticket.
The performances will take place at the Niceville Community Center, located at 204 Partin Drive North.
