FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Eglin Federal Credit Union has recognized a longtime employee for 25 years of service.
Wendy Ellerd, who currently serves as an IRA Assistant at EFCU’s Fort Walton Beach Branch, began her career with the credit union in May 2000 as a Teller at the Mary Esther Branch.
She was promoted to Membership Officer just a year later and advanced to Senior Membership Officer in 2004. In 2006, Ms Ellerd became an Insurance Specialist and later moved to the Hurlburt Branch in 2014 as a Member Service Counselor. She joined the Eglin Branch in 2017 and has held her current role since 2021.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have had Wendy as a part of our Credit Union family for the past 25 years,” said VP Branch Operations Bron Ringstad.
“Her dedication, kindness, and exceptional service have made a profound impact on both our team and our members.”
Mr Ringstad praised Ellerd for her commitment to excellence and for consistently going above and beyond for members.
After a celebration of her milestone, Ms Ellerd reflected on her journey at EFCU.
“Having been with the Credit Union for over half of my life, I’ve made countless close friends who have truly become family,” she said.
“Serving members who genuinely rely on us brings me immense satisfaction, and I take great pride in being able to help people.”
