The Friends of the Niceville Library invite you to join local Christian author, Marilyn Turk on Wednesday, April 13, 10:30 a.m., at the Niceville Library. Turk will discuss her new book, The Gilded Curse and share her journey in becoming a published author. Admission is free.

Since Turk began her writing career a few years ago, God has affirmed her direction by blessing her efforts. She has been published in Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse Jr. Magazine, The Upper Room, Guideposts Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Coastal Christian Family Magazine and Lighthouse Digest. In 2013, Turk’s short story, “A Stranger’s Visit to the Lighthouse,” was published in A Cup of Christmas Cheer. She also has a daily devotional, Lighthouse Devotions: 52 Inspiring Lighthouse Stories.

“As I see this dream unfolding, I have been encouraged by other writers along the way who have shared their knowledge of the craft so willingly. I hope that I, too, can encourage and inspire others to follow their God-given dreams,” said Turk.

Seating is limited. Please call the Library at 279-4863 ext. 1504 or email Lora at lglass@okaloosa.lib.fl.us to reserve a seat.

Copies of Turk’s books will be available for purchase before and after the program.

The Niceville Library is located in the City Hall Complex located at 208 N. Partin Dr.
